Coming off bad beat central yesterday. 219-178 on the season and still up over 11u. 7 picks for today's MLB slate. Odds according to BetSaracen.

MIN Twins/TB Rays o8.5 -110
Yesterday we had the over at 7.5, the Rays scored 7 but we couldn't get any help from the Twins. We are going right back at it today. I am picking on Pablo Lopez (MIN) and his 4.54 ERA on the mound for the Twins today. The Rays will likely be applying their pitching by committee strategy today as Shawn Armstrong (TB) is making his 2nd appearance of the season. In his first appearance, Armstrong faced only 7 batters but did not give up a hit and only allowed one walk.
Tampa Bay's high powered offense will put runs on the board against Lopez and the Twins bullpen. And I do not expect Minnesota's offense that scores over 4 runs per game to be shutout for the second game in a row. I'll take the over.
CWS White Sox F5 ML +100
Second game of this series in the Bronx. Lance Lynn will be on the mound for the White Sox. The 36 year old veteran will face off against the Yankees' 24 year old rookie Randy Vasquez pitching on the other side. I have to back the more experienced Lance Lynn in this matchup despite his 6.55 ERA and .335 BABIP this season.
With no Aaron Judge in the lineup, there is a giant (pun intended) position for the rest of the Yankees lineup to try to fill. I am backing the White Sox in the first 5 innings tonight.
ARI Diamondbacks -1.5 +120
This game could be fun to watch. Zach Davies will be pitching for the Diamondbacks. Davies (ARI) comes into this game with a 1.80 road ERA and will be facing off a less than impressive Nationals lineup. On the other side, Patrick Corbin will take the mound for the Diamondbacks. Corbin (WAS) has 4.92 ERA this season. He is allowing a .310 BABIP to opposing hitters with only a 14% K-rate. Additionally, the Nationals bullpen is struggling as well, with the 4th highest team ERA amongst relievers.
I think the Diamondbacks can take keep Corbin from going too deep into this game and take advantage of the Washington bullpen.
TOR Blue Jays F5 ML -155
I like the matchup for Chris Bassitt and the Blue Jays going up against the Astros in this matchup. Bassitt (TOR) has a 3.41 ERA and is limiting opposing hitters to a .216 BABIP. On the other side, the Astros will be sending out Ronel Blanco and his 11.25 road ERA to make his 2nd start of the season.
When comparing the two offenses, the Blue Jays have the edge across the board in runs per game, batting average, home runs, OBP, & SLG%. I will take the Blue Jays in the first 5 innings.
CIN Reds +1.5 -110
The Reds are coming off a win last night in the first game of the series against the Dodgers. Tonight, they are facing the struggling Noah Syndergaard. Syndergaard (LAD) has a 9.90 road ERA this season and is allowing a BABIP of .318 while only striking out opposing batters at a 15.3% rate. Brandon Williamson (CIN) will be taking the mound for the Reds. Williamson has been fine this year, allowing a BABIP of .241. As long as he can avoid big innings, I think he can keep the Reds in this game.
With a struggling Syndergaard on the mound for the Dodgers, I think the Reds can keep this game within a run or possibly win this game.
NYM Mets ML +105
Max Scherzer (3.21 ERA) is pitching today for the Mets. Scherzer (NYM) has had a fair amount of success in the past against the Braves. On the other side, Charlie Morton (3.62 ERA) will be on the hill for the Braves. Morton (ATL) is giving up hits this year, allowing a .341 BABIP. Morton also had a 4.98 ERA in 4 starts last year against the Mets.
With a Mets offense that can flash its power and Max Scherzer pitching, I am going to take the Mets to win tonight in this NL East rivalry matchup against the Braves.
STL Cardinals/TEX Rangers o9.5 +115
Jon Gray (TEX) has allowed a total of 10 runs across his 5 home starts this year. The Cardinals offense is tied for 9th in the MLB in runs scored. On the other side, Jack Flaherty (STL) has allowed 15 runs across his 7 away starts this year. He will have to try to limit the top run scoring offense in the MLB. And the roof will likely be closed in Arlington, so weather will not be a factor.
I think there will be a lot of run scoring opportunities tonight between these two teams. I like the over.
