Spread Picks: 49ers -9.5 (-115) & Chargers -2.5 (-115)
Double digit underdogs are 0-2 ATS in the opening round of the playoffs. San Francisco dominated both matchups during the regular season, one of which was Purdy’s first start, and it was on the road. I like the 49ers to control this game and cover.
Chargers are 7-2 ATS as the favorite this year. I’m not sold on this Jaguars team. I think this is a good spot for Herbert to further establish himself as a top QB in the league with a playoff win.
Prop Picks: Geno Smith o225.5 Pass Yards (-115) & Justin Herbert o25.5 Pass Completions (-130)
Smith has hit this mark in 6 of his last 10. The Seahawks will be down early and possibly big. Seattle will need to throw the ball to attempt to make up ground.
The Chargers like to let Herbert throw the ball around. They are going to need him to have success throwing the ball to win.
3 Team 7 Point Teaser: Bills -6.5, Bengals -0.5, 49ers -2.5 (+130)
3 teams that are heavily favored in their games but could possibly suffocate the life out of the game once they establish control of the game. I’m buying a TD in each of them and putting them together at plus money.
2 Team Halftime/Fulltime Parlay: 49ers & Bills (-104)
The two most one sided matchups analytically this weekend. Both should control their games for the beginning. Taking the 49ers and Bills both to be up at halftime and also win their games pays out almost even money.
